Opportunities for Irish food and drink suppliers
MBCC Foods Ireland are always seeking opportunities to work with local
suppliers with high quality and innovative offerings.
Opportunities exist for suppliers with innovative products in any of the
categories described above or other relevant products.
Purchasing policy and supplier requirements
Suppliers to MBCC Foods must hold GFSI certification or intend to gain
GFSI certification. Prospective new suppliers to MBCC Foods Ireland/Costa
will be issued with a ‘Pre-Assessment Questionnaire’.
If the response to the questionnaire is considered satisfactory by MBCC
Foods (Ireland) Ltd., then the supplier will progress to the next stage in
supplier approval which may include a site audit.
All suppliers must meet the criteria set out in MBCC Foods Ireland’s
Supplier Approval policy and Costa brand policies.
The company states that it is keen to work with local suppliers that meet its
quality and food safety requirements.
Suppliers deliver products (whether fresh, frozen or ambient) to the central
distribution hub in Co. Down, from where products are delivered daily to
Costa shops.
