OYSTERS
Meitheal Trá na Rinne Teo was established in 1990 in order to prepare, market and sell
oysters for its producer members in Dungarvan Bay. We currently sell product from
4 oyster farmers who produce between them around 500-600 tonnes of top quality
oysters per annum.
Our idyllic location in a tidal bay on the south coast of the island of Ireland, offers
unique growing conditions for our oysters. The North Atlantic Ocean fills and empties
into our bay on the Waterford coast twice a day, supplying our oysters with fresh clean
food and clearing away any impurities. All our oysters are grown here by local family
run companies who between them share almost 100 years of combined experience.
