Product range

          Lynas Foodservice provide an extensive range of ambient, chilled and
          frozen foods along with Causeway Prime which offers bespoke Craft
          Butchery that values provenance.

          The ambient range accounts for 25% of sales. The range contains dried and
          tinned foods, sauces, condiments, herbs, spices, beverages, biscuits, baking
          ingredients, breakfast cereals and an extensive non-food range.
          The chilled range accounts for 21% of sales. The range includes fresh and
          cooked chicken, turkey, ham, a wide selection of cheeses, dairy products,
          fresh beef, pork, lamb, pre-prepared vegetables and mayonnaise.
          The frozen range accounts for 54% of sales. The range includes chips,
          vegetables, desserts, seafood, and pastry products.
          Lynas Foodservice currently stocks over 6,000 product lines.
          Lynas Foodservice stocks all key household brands across all categories
          and temperatures.


         Sectors served

          All sectors of the foodservice market are served including fast food outlets,
          restaurants, sandwich bars, coffee shops, schools, hospitals and hotels.

         Opportunities for Irish food and drink suppliers


          Lynas Foodservice is committed to sourcing from local suppliers that can
          offer large scale manufacturing in addition to artisan producers.

          Opportunities exist for suppliers that can deliver on time within agreed
          specifications and KPI’s.  Lynas also has a ‘Food Outlet’ Division currently
          with 11 stores in NI.  These stores stock approx. 2,000 key products and
          offer additional opportunities to the company’s supply base.

         Purchasing policy

          The company has a preference to source local produce, but the price must
          be competitive, meeting Quality Assurance requirements that conform to
          food safety standards.

          Labelling must follow compliance with EU and Irish legal requirements.
          The Category Manager’s make the purchasing decisions in line with
          customer needs and market trend and insights ensuring that price and
          quality and efficient service factors are delivered.
